Business Development Manager - Beverage & Food


Australia Wide


We are seeking a BDM with experience in the Food and Beverage sector on the delivery side.  AGITO has a strong existing client base delivering to all the major brands and we would expect you to have experience and contacts with some or all of these clients.

This role requires a strong commercial and technical understanding of solutions development in the Beverage and Food market, which we will ask you to demonstrate in your application.  

You will:

  • Identify new automation and technology opportunities to suit AGITO’s portfolio and grow market share in the beverage and food sectors 

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs and areas of growth

  • Develop and nurture customer relationships and represent AGITO at trade shows and events

  • Understand client requirements and tailor standard solutions to meet their needs

  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the customer needs are met in the solution 

  • Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals for clients

  • Lead negotiations and engage in win-win conversations for both company and client

  • Understand key products and communicating the benefits and key attributes to potential clients and internal team members 

  • Lean-in to marketing activities including LinkedIn posts and website content

  • Develop compelling sales presentations to showcase AGITO’s value proposition and unique selling point

  • Communicate with established suppliers on solutions and seeking out new potential technical partners



As a BDM you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand our customer base, fostering strategic partnerships and enhancing our market presence.

You have: 

  • An established network and deep knowledge within the Beverage and Food market in Australia and New Zealand

  • A track record for developing strong and trusted relationships

  • Excellent communication and networking skills

  • The ability to listen keenly and interpret customer needs

  • Strong commercial acumen and contract experience



The successful candidate will have: 

  • 5+ years of direct hands on sales management experience selling beverage and food automation solutions for integrators

  • A network of beverage and food industry contacts

  • Strong technical background 

  • A Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred

  • The ability to communicate effectively and liaise with clients, suppliers and internal departments including Sales, Finance, Production and Logistics 

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & PowerBI)

  • Experience in Navis, AutCAD
