THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Engineering with experience in automation systems and who enjoys managing and mentoring others.
​
Responsibilities of the role include: ​

Technical leadership for Mechanical Engineers in Australia

Quality of the design and engineering
-
Quality and consistency of documentation
-
Management of technical risks and issues
-
Set and manage time and budgets for various projects - Analyse and manage budgets, technologies and resources for projects
-
Promote standardisation and best practice within the department
-
Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration and ownership
-
Plan strategies for the development of designs and products on schedule and on budget
-
Communicate and collaborate with other managers, stakeholders and contractors
-
Prioritize, delegate and supervise all engineers’ activities and deliverables
-
Manage, support, and evaluate engineers’ performance
-
Take part in the hiring of new talent for the team and offer coaching and development opportunities
-
Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions, when needed
-
Support the implementation of technical documentation and project roadmaps
-
Developing strategies for improving manufacturing efficiency and reducing costs
-
Understanding of Mechanical Engineering safety standards

YOUR SKILLS
-
Hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 8 years’ experience managing people
-
Have technical proficiency in safety and the functional principles of safety
-
Sound knowledge of requirements of AS3000 and AS4024.1
