Sales Engineer - Warehousing & Logistics

This role requires a high degree of technical understanding in automation and solutions development, which we will ask you to demonstrate in your application. 


Key responsibilities include:​

  • Identify new automation and technology opportunities to suit AGITO’s portfolio and grow market share in the Warehousing and Logistics sectors

  • Understanding client requirements and tailoring AGITO standard solutions or third party integrated solutions to meet their needs

  • Analysing customer data and developing models to determine the preferred option(s) for the customer evaluation

  • Contributing to the development of suitable conceptual designs in-line with customer requirements and AGITO’s capabilities

  • Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals for clients

  • Develop compelling sales presentations to showcase AGITO’s value proposition and unique selling point

  • Reviewing functional specifications during the sales cycle

  • Ensuring compliance with relevant customer specifications

  • Ensuring smooth and complete handover of contracts and orders to the project manager

You have:

  • Extensive experience within and knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations and the Material Handling Industry as a whole

  • A strong network of contacts in the Warehousing, Logistics and Materials Handling sector

  • Warehouse system design experience

  • Warehouse Control System knowledge

  • Industry contacts for third party supply equipment - generally specific the Warehousing and  Logistics sectors

  • Excellent communication and networking skills

  • The ability to listen keenly and interpret customer needs

  • Analytical thinking and strong numerical skills



The successful candidate will have: 

  • 5+ years of direct hands on sales management experience selling Warehousing and Logistics  automation solutions for integrators

  • A Tertiary Qualification in a technical discipline – Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering

  • A Tertiary Qualification in Finance or Supply Chain would also be considered

  • A network of Warehousing and Logistics industry contacts

  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & PowerBI)

  • Experience in Navis, AutoCAD
