THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in automation systems and who enjoys mentoring others.
​
Responsibilities of the role include: ​

Design of Electrical Systems
-
Selection of Electrical components and preparation of Bill of Materials
-
Preparation of manufacturing and installation specifications
-
Planning of electrical and controls installations
-
Testing and commissioning on customer sites
-
Preparation of validation & test documentation
-
Training clients on as “built equipment” & providing support
-
Some interstate travel as required
-
Coordinating activities with the rest of the business
-
Communicating with external & internal stakeholders
ABOUT YOU
You are someone who wants to work for a business at the forefront of technology and automation systems and solutions.
You have the ability to:

Design automation control cabinets and distribution boards
-
Review specifications and develop overall electrical design including wiring diagrams, logic diagrams and implement, factory acceptance testing and onsite commissioning of PLC based hardware and software solutions.

Review customer inquiry specifications and develop detailed exceptions, clarifications taken from the proposals team to formulate the project execution of the Electrical Design.

Travel and perform in the field to support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and controls.

Keep up to date on latest technologies in Drive and Automation developments.

Review customer inquiry specifications and develop detailed exceptions, clarifications taken from the proposals team to formulate the project execution of the Electrical Design.

Research and answer technical questions for internal and external customers.

Attend customer meetings as necessary to develop customer solutions and provide technical and commercial support in closing sales.

Have a working knowledge and adhere to the principles of Work, Health and Safety.

Demonstrate a technical proficiency in machine control & functional principles of safety

YOUR SKILLS
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrician Trade Certificate with relevant electrical design experience (must be recognised in Australia)

Holds an Electrical License

Thorough understanding of OHS&E standards

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role
-
Sound knowledge of requirements of AS3000 and AS4024.1

Knowledge of configuration, programming, and commissioning of PLCs – experience with both Rockwell and Siemens an advantage
-
Experience in selection & configuration of Variable Speed Drives (VSD’s)
-
EPlan and AutoCAD skills
