Junior Software & Support Engineer

THE ROLE

The core functions of the role are providing support to customer during implementation of AGITO’s automation solutions and will also include support for systems already in the field as well as support of company office IT infrastructure and users.

This includes:

  • Support of external customers during and post implementation, in particular:

    • The set up and configuration of server hardware, switches, virtualizing platforms, and cloud environments.

    • Configuration and testing of software solutions

    • Working with automation, mechanical and electrical teams on integration of IT Systems with LLC/mechatronic/robotic systems

    • Being part of the commissioning, installation, and connection of developed systems on customer’s site 

    • Providing training and support (both onsite and remote) to members of customer team

    • Providing after hours support to customers using AGITO solutions. 

    • Supervise and perform periodic maintenance of software and hardware.

    • Communicate and demonstrate the software and AGITO’s vision clearly to customers and external customers.

    • Data analysis and adjustments of dashboards for Materials Handling and Warehousing systems

  • User support and taking care of internal IT infrastructure:

    • Being first point of contact for users of IT systems

    • Providing support to users and escalating issues with 2nd/3rd level support members

    • Monitoring key elements of company IT infrastructure (network, servers, main applications)

    • Performing maintenance activities related to end user computers, network, servers.

YOU ARE

You are someone who wants to be at the forefront of technology being a key player in implementing and supporting of both industrial automation solutions as well as internal key IT infrastructure. 

You have:

  • A willingness to learn and grow your knowledge.

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new IT and automation solutions.

  • Ability to respond quickly to client demand as well as needs of your office peers.

  • Education background and ideally first experience with IT office and industrial solutions 

  • Attention to detail. 

  • The ability to work either as part of a team or autonomously and prioritize competing demands.

  • Practical site experience with automation systems is a significant plus.

YOUR SKILLS

The successful candidate will

  • Have bachelor’s degree in IT or a relevant discipline.  

  • Have experience in supply chain, retail, or manufacturing sector.

  • Respond quickly to client demand.

  • Have troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.

  • Be effective communicator.

  • Excel in problem-solving

  • Have ability to prioritize work.

  • Have founded knowledge about computers, server software and hardware, networking.

  • Have experience with operating server operating systems, data bases, 

  • Understand principles of software and hardware integration, esp. with PLC controlled automation. 

  • Work collaboratively and be committed to success of a team.
